Freedom begins with the faith that you have freedom? Tell me, then, if freedom begins with that leap of faith, then how does one come to have the freedom to make that leap of faith in the first place? Solving the question by reducing it to a mere state of mind doesn't answer the problem of freedom in the metaphysical sense that your title implies. That doesn’t make sense.
